Guys,

Not sure I am telling you anything you don't already know, but here
goes.  I just Mt Biked from Rockingham Jct on 108 to where we park the
Tucker on Rt 87.  There are 7-8 good size trees down, that being said
they have been cut so you can get through and just left on the side of
the RR bed.  Clean up will be required.  There is some hard pack ice
in spots, but for the most part is down to gravel/rock.  Mud season is
upon us and it will be some time before we can get a wheeled vehicle
of any sort down the bed without causing some damage.

There is one tree between the Junction and Old Lee Road that is going
to be a bit of a challenge.  It is up rooted, leaning over the trail
and is caught up fairly high in a clump of trees.  Long term it is
probably not safe and should come down.

Well that is the current trail report for March 6th.  Feel free to
post this or pass along to anyone.  I promise not to sue anyone.  I
just want to help.

Recommended Practice for Passing By a Groomer
Approved by NHSA Map and Trails Committee

1.  For oncoming sleds:  The sleds should pull off the trail and allow the groomer to pass by.

2.  For sleds overtaking the groomer:  The groomer operator should find a safe spot to pull over and stop.  The sleds can then check to see if they can safely pass by the groomer.

Note: The operator will not signal for sleds to pass by.

Reason:  Each rider must take responsibility for passing by the groomer safely.
